Ranking UEFA, Booom! Italy now in the second position. The 5th spot for the next Champions near

A favorable European week for our Serie A teams, with only Roma performing poorly in the Europa League. Inter is already qualified to the next round.

Italy can dream of having 5 teams in the Champions League in the 2024/25 edition, the first one with the new format that will qualify 36 teams (4 more than present) for the group stage.

The three days of European competition, enriched by the victories of Milan, Lazio, Inter, Fiorentina, and Atalanta, place Italy in second place in the ranking, just behind Germany and comfortably ahead of Turkey, which is currently in third place.

With the new regulations, the nations in the top 2 spots of the ranking will be able to have 5 teams participating in the premier European football competition.

One noteworthy change in the upcoming Champions League is that the winners of the major leagues will not be placed in the first tier. Instead, the privilege will be for the team that wins the competition and the top eight teams in the UEFA rankings.

Inter is already well-positioned in this ranking. After their victory over Salzburg on Tuesday and qualification to the round of 16 with two rounds to spare, Inter has climbed to the UEFA’s sixth position. They are followed by Chelsea, which is not participating in European competitions this year.
