The Juventus talent who’s on loan at Frosinone has permanently closed the door to the Azzurri
Matias Soulé is undoubtedly one of the key players in Frosinone’s excellent start to the season. He is one of the biggest talents in Serie A at the moment having scored 5 goals and assisted 1 while hitting 3 posts so far in ‘A’.
The youngster, who’s contract is owed by Juventus is wanted by both the Italian and Argentine national team, spoke to Sport Mediaset after the victory (in extra time) in the Coppa Italia against Torino expressing his wish to play for the Argentinian National team:
Italy or Argentina? I already talked to Spalletti. I am sorry but feel Argentine.
Soulé addressed the main topic, the choice between Italy and Argentina: “I talked to coach Spalletti,” he admitted, “and I told him the truth, which is that I feel Argentine. I thanked him for the interest, and then I also talked to Walter Samuel, who informed me of the pre-call-up with Argentine.
I’m waiting for Argentina; I don’t know if the invite will come sooner or later, but I was born there, I feel Argentine, and my heart confirms it.” He concluded with a remark about his goal: “I had said that I will score 10 this season, but now I am hopefull for more, maybe 12 or 15…”
