Janice Dean has asked followers to send prayers her way just days after revealing that she had spent the night in hospital for tests.
The former Fox & Friends senior meteorologist shared the brief but deeply personal message on Instagram, writing, “If you guys could send some prayers my way I’d appreciate it. Thank you.”
The request comes after Dean told followers that she had been admitted to hospital after not feeling well. Although she later confirmed she was back home, she also said doctors did not yet have “solid answers” about why she had been feeling so unwell.
Her latest post quickly drew an outpouring of love from concerned followers, many of whom shared prayers for her healing, peace and protection.
Janice’s simple request worries supporters
Dean did not offer any further details about her health in the new post. Instead, she simply asked for prayers.
The message came days after her hospital update, in which she explained that she had gone in for tests and stayed overnight while feeling overwhelmed and nervous.
At the time, Dean shared that a nurse named Marie had helped her feel more comfortable by straightening her bedding, bringing her a warm blanket and fresh pillow, and taking the time to listen as she explained how she felt.
“I started to cry as she tucked the blanket around my legs because it was such a simple but profound act of kindness,” Dean wrote. “I am grateful for Nurse Marie.”
Dean later returned home and said she was grateful to be resting on the couch with Lola while her sons took care of her. But she also made clear that she did not yet have answers.
“We don’t have any solid answers as to why I’m feeling so crummy,” she wrote.
Now, her request for prayers has left many of her longtime viewers hoping she will soon receive the answers and relief she needs.
Followers fill the comments with prayers
The response beneath Dean’s new post was immediate and emotional.
One follower wrote, “Janice, sending you prayers and positive thoughts.” Another shared, “Praying for you now, Janice,” while many others left prayer emojis and messages of encouragement.
Several supporters posted longer prayers, asking for peace, protection, healing and restful sleep. One commenter wrote that they were praying for “peace and protection,” while another asked for “Holy healing” for Dean.
The messages reflected the concern many people feel after her hospital stay, but they also showed how strongly her audience continues to stand behind her.
Dean’s post had received more than 4,500 likes as supporters rallied around her with warm wishes.
A difficult period after leaving Fox News
The new update follows a major change in Dean’s life earlier this year, when she stepped away from Fox News after a 22-year career with the network.
During her final appearance on Fox & Friends, Dean became emotional as she said goodbye to viewers, colleagues and her family. She explained that the progression of her multiple sclerosis symptoms had made the demands of her early-morning schedule too difficult to continue.
Dean said that waking up around 2:30 a.m. each day had become especially challenging and that she and her doctors agreed it was time to put her health first.
She has not linked her recent hospital stay or request for prayers to multiple sclerosis, and she has not shared a diagnosis.
For now, Janice Dean’s latest update is a simple but worrying one—and her supporters are making sure she knows that she is not facing this difficult moment alone.
