Ainsley Earhardt has opened up about her relationship with Sean Hannity, sharing new details about his proposal and the role he has taken in the life of her 10-year-old daughter, Hayden.
The FOX & Friends co-host, 49, spoke to Us Weekly while celebrating the release of her new children’s book, America, I’m So Glad You Were Born. During the conversation, Earhardt reflected on her career, Christian faith and the personal happiness she has found with her fellow Fox News host.
Earhardt described Hannity as “the most amazing man I’ve ever met” and praised the way he has embraced her daughter despite already having children in their 20s.
Hannity surprised Earhardt with a proposal at church
Hannity proposed to Earhardt last December, but she had no idea what he had planned.
Earhardt believed she and her then-boyfriend were traveling to a meeting concerning a home renovation. Instead, Hannity, 64, drove her to their church in Florida.
Once inside, he walked with her toward the altar, got down on one knee and presented her with a ring.
The surprise left Earhardt in “happy tears.”
The moment also reflected the importance of faith in their relationship. After the proposal, Earhardt said the couple prayed together and expressed their gratitude for having found one another.
“We just prayed and thanked God that He had brought us together,” she told Us Weekly.
“I can’t believe God loves me this much to give me the most amazing man I’ve ever met,” Earhardt said.
She went on to describe Hannity as generous, kind, forgiving and loving, adding that people who work with him at Fox could speak to those qualities as well.
Earhardt praises Hannity’s relationship with her daughter
One aspect of their relationship that Earhardt particularly highlighted was Hannity’s acceptance of Hayden, her 10-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.
“He’s just an amazing, generous, kind, forgiving, loving man who has embraced my child, a 10-year-old,” Earhardt said.
Hannity already has children in their 20s, but Earhardt said he has been “wonderful” with her daughter.
Her comments offered a personal glimpse into the family dynamic the couple has developed as they prepare for their future together.
Earhardt did not provide additional details about wedding plans in the information shared with Us Weekly.
Faith remains central to Earhardt’s life
Earhardt also spoke extensively about the role Christianity has played throughout her personal and professional journey.
The University of South Carolina graduate joined Fox News in 2007 and currently co-hosts FOX & Friends alongside Steve Doocy, Brian Kilmeade and Lawrence Jones.
She has recently interviewed President Donald Trump, first lady Melania Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance. Away from the morning program, she also hosts Ainsley’s Bible Study on FOX Nation.
Earhardt told Us Weekly that she believes God played a role in bringing her to New York City and giving her the opportunity to work at Fox News while remaining open about her conservative Christian values.
“How am I one of the very few morning show anchors who’s a female that wakes up America?” she said. “I think it’s because God put me in this position and brought me to New York, which was a desire I had when I was a child.”
Earhardt also reflected on why she believes she was given such a public platform.
“Why did He choose Ainsley? I think because He knew I would be vocal about him,” she said.
Earhardt said she is not afraid to discuss her faith publicly because she wants other people to experience what she has experienced.
A new book inspired by America
Earhardt’s interview came as she promoted her children’s book, America, I’m So Glad You Were Born.
The book focuses on American traditions and freedoms, including freedom of speech, religion and opportunity.
For Earhardt, celebrations such as the Fourth of July carry a meaning that extends beyond familiar traditions such as fireworks, floats and barbecues.
“It’s about our country and our freedom,” she said. “That’s what I hope parents are able to teach their children.”
