Fox News host Will Cain has reflected on the moment he learned that his friend Charlie Kirk had died while Cain was broadcasting live.
Kirk, the 31-year-old founder of Turning Point USA, was killed at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025, while speaking at an event. Only one day earlier, he had appeared on The Will Cain Show from Fox’s studios in Dallas.
Cain told The U.S. Sun that the two men had exchanged text messages following Kirk’s appearance. Their professional connection had developed into a friendship over the preceding two years.
Twenty-four hours after hosting Kirk on his program, Cain received confirmation of his death through an earpiece and had to deliver the news to viewers.
