“Our goal is to win the Champions League again. Last year, we came close, but Inter was clearly superior, admited Leao”
Scoring as captain for the three points against Verona after a challenging night in the Champions League against Newcastle, the start of Rafa Leao‘s season, wearing the number 10 shirt, has already been a rollercoaster. However, the Portuguese forward envisions great things in his future:
“Milan is on the right path, and the club’s goal must be to continue climbing. Soon, Milan will return to winning a Champions League, I’m sure of it.“
It’s an ambitious goal for the Portuguese player, who in the summer committed himself to the Rossoneri by signing a contract extension after months of intense negotiations. He shared his thoughts with GQ Portugal, with a brutal hoensty:
“Our goal is to win that trophy again, but I speak for myself as a young player who wants to achieve great things. The Champions League is everyone’s dream, and last year, we came close, even though Inter was clearly superior to us, they are a complete team on the field and on the bench.“
