Happy 86th birthday to Chuck Norris: The Man, the Myth, the Legend
Remember the early 2000s when Chuck Norris jokes about his incredible strength were everywhere? While those memes have faded, rumors of his death surface yearly.
This mix of humor and hoaxes leaves us wondering about Chuck Norris’s current life. Once a top action star, he’s now mostly out of the public eye. We investigated to find out what he’s doing and if he has any plans for the future.
Why we don’t see Chuck no more
Chuck Norris Left Hollywood to Care for His Wife

Norris’s last major film role was in 2012’s The Expendables 2. In 2020, he made a guest appearance on Hawaii Five-0. Aside from the occasional late-night infomercial, he’s been absent from Hollywood. The reason for his departure is his wife, Gena.
In 2017, she fell ill after a series of MRI scans. She received three gadolinium injections in eight days, which led to severe symptoms like joint pain, weakness, and full-body tremors.
She even lost 15 pounds and had trouble swallowing, needing to be fed baby food. The Norris family believed she suffered from gadolinium poisoning, though doctors disagreed.

Gena found relief at a clinic in Nevada, and Chuck left Hollywood to care for her and raise awareness about the potential dangers of gadolinium. They filed a $10 million lawsuit, which they dropped in 2020.
What Is Chuck Norris Doing Now?
Although Chuck Norris stepped away from the fast-paced world of Hollywood, he has never truly disappeared. Instead, the legendary martial artist and action star chose to focus on what matters most to him — family, health, and the causes he believes in.
On December 7, 2024 Chuck informed the public that his mother, Wilma, has passed away at age . In an emotional post on social media, Chuck shared memories of his mother and expressed heartfelt gratitude.
“On Wednesday morning, our wonderful mother, my brother Aaron’s and mine, went home to be with Jesus,” Chuck Norris wrote.
Through these changes, Chuck Norris remains a beloved figure, focusing on family and health, away from the Hollywood glitz.
Beyond acting, Norris continues to dedicate time to philanthropic work. One of his proudest achievements remains Kickstart Kids, a martial arts program he founded to help young students develop discipline, confidence, and strong character. The program has impacted thousands of students across Texas and remains a cause he actively supports.
Despite living a quieter life today, Norris is still remarkably active. He continues to train, stay fit, and occasionally shares glimpses of his life with fans, proving that the legendary toughness people associate with his name is very real.
