The Portuguese legend has decided to take legal action against the Bianconeri club to recover the sums related to past salaries that were frozen due to the lockdown.
Cristiano Ronaldo has officially knocked on Juventus’ door once again. The Portuguese star wants to recover the earnings that were left pending during the Covid period, which amounts to a significant sum of โฌ19.9 million.
After requesting the documents from the Turin Prosecutor’s Office (similar to what Dybala did, who, however, reached an agreement with the club to collect his approximately โฌ3 million in back salaries), CR7 has decided to take legal action. Essentially, the footballer – now playing in the Saudi Pro League in Saudi Arabia – wants to collect the money he agreed not to receive immediately during the lockdown.
After the halt of football for 105 days, from March 9th to June 22nd, 2020, the clubs’ difficulties increased due to the lack of ticket revenue. During the time, Cristiano Ronaldo received an annual salary of โฌ31 million from the Bianconeri club. The few frozen monthly payments – not yet received – still add up to a considerable sum.
