An old woman is riding in an elevator in a very lavish New York City building.
A young and beautiful woman gets in, smelling of expensive perfume. She turns to the old woman and says arrogantly,
“Romance by Ralph Lauren — $150 an ounce.”
A few floors later another young woman enters, also smelling wonderful. She looks at the old woman and says proudly,
“Chanel No. 5 — $200 an ounce.”
At the next floor the old woman reaches her stop. As she gets out, she looks back, smiles, and says:
“Cabbage… 49 cents a pound.”
