She may debate politics on national TV, but Fox News host Jessica Tarlov keeps her home life surprisingly low-key — especially when it comes to her husband, Brian McKenna.
From neighbors to newlyweds
While Jessica Tarlov is a regular fixture on The Five, her relationship with husband Brian McKenna has remained mostly off the radar. The pair met during the COVID-19 pandemic, when they were next-door neighbors during lockdown.
Their romance blossomed behind closed doors — and quickly turned into something lasting.
The American political strategist met Brian in 2019 through a mutual friend. The couple started dating at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and eventually exchanged marriage vows in May 2021 in New York City.
In April 2021, Tarlov announced their engagement during an appearance on Kennedy on Fox Business. Just weeks later, the two were married.
Fox colleague Guy Benson shared a wedding photo to X (formerly Twitter), congratulating the couple. Tarlov replied with a wink:
“Chief romance correspondent reporting for marriage duty 😉 Thank you, Guy!”
Growing their family
The couple’s first child, daughter Cleo Markie McKenna, was born on December 11, 2021.
Tarlov’s The Five cohost Dana Perino announced the happy news live on-air, adding that Cleo was “the tallest baby born at Mount Sinai that day.”
Their second daughter, Teddy Tarlov McKenna, was born on April 11, 2024, with Perino once again delivering the announcement and sending warm wishes to the growing family.
A bittersweet Father’s Day
In June 2022, Tarlov marked Brian’s first Father’s Day with a heartfelt post — and a nod to her own late father, filmmaker Mark Tarlov, who passed away in 2021 while she was pregnant with Cleo.
“First Father’s Day for my incredible husband and my first without my Dad. The circle of life is really something!”
She added a personal touch:
“Brian hates pictures, Cleo more agreeable. She loves a good squishy ball.”
Keeping it real — and mostly private
Despite her public persona, Jessica Tarlov and Brian McKenna, a hedge fund executive, keep their family life intentionally private. Tarlov occasionally shares glimpses of motherhood on X, but she’s clear about keeping things grounded.
After Teddy’s birth, she tweeted:
“Will be on maternity leave for the next few months… so to the haters and the losers, enjoy the break! I know I will with my girls 😘.”
She also told Carry that her way of relaxing isn’t glamorous — just relatable:
“I watch TV. Way too much if you ask my husband. It’s the only way I can decompress.”
