Inzaghi: The boys were amazing. Lukaku? It’s good for the Italian league, but I am happy with my players

With four goals in the first two matches, no goals conceded, and a perfect score in the standings, Inter’s season couldn’t have started better. Simone Inzaghi, after the match, is clearly satisfied with the 0-2 win against Cagliari.

Inzaghi’s enthusiasm extends to his new starting forward, who once again had a positive performance after his debut against Monza. “Thuram was excellent,” confirmed the coach. “He arrived 40 days ago and has been working seriously from day one. He’s intelligent, understands the game, and knows how to move. Today, he deserved a goal, and I would have liked to see him celebrate.”

When asked about Romelu Lukaku to AS Roma, Inzaghi demonstrates his appreciation for him as a player: “Roma made an excellent acquisition. He’s a great player, and it’s good for Italian football that he’s back. However, I’m extremely satisfied with the players I have. We want to make the fans proud. Lautaro (who scored his third goal in the league) is continually improving, taking on more responsibilities, and adapting better and better to the way we play.”

The overall assessment of his tenure remains positive: “I’ve been with Inter for over two years. We have significant responsibilities, but I’m satisfied with what we’ve achieved, from the titles won to other crucial things done as a team. Is Inter stronger than last year? That’s the hope. We’ve made many changes and lost important players, but we’re organized, and our principles of play remain the same.”
