Taylor Swift’s connection to the Kansas City Chiefs has grown beyond her relationship with Travis Kelce, earning her a special place in the hearts of team members with her thoughtful gestures.
Known for her record-breaking Eras Tour and widely publicized romance with the Chiefs’ tight end, Swift has recently charmed the team by whipping up homemade treats called “Victory Pop Tarts.”
The gesture came to public attention when Chiefs defensive backs coach Dave Merritt shared his excitement on X (formerly Twitter), revealing, “Taylor Swift baked homemade victory Pop Tarts for me!”
He also praised her kind-hearted nature, calling her a “sweet young woman regardless.”
Defensive tackle Chris Jones’ girlfriend, Sheawna Weathersby, also posted about the treats on Instagram, offering further evidence of Swift’s behind-the-scenes support for the team. The sweet surprises have sparked an outpouring of fan appreciation on social media, with many dubbing Swift the honorary “Team Mom.”
“She likes to BAKE, I love her,” one fan gushed online, while another proclaimed, “She’s the perfect Team Mom!”
Even head coach Andy Reid has been on the receiving end of Swift’s culinary kindness. Earlier this year, Reid humorously revealed on a podcast that Swift had baked Pop Tarts for the team’s offensive linemen, quipping, “She knew right where to go.”
While Merritt initially thought he had been singled out, he soon realized Swift’s generosity extended to many on the team, further solidifying her growing role as a beloved figure in the Chiefs’ orbit.
