Selected as the 55th overall pick, James has faced a mix of highs and lows during his brief Summer League stint but has strung together two consecutive strong performances. In a game against the Hawks on Wednesday, he tallied 12 points, one rebound, and one steal.
Initially, James struggled, scoring only 10 points on 3-of-19 shooting in his first two games. His second Summer League appearance against the Boston Celtics drew comments from Jaylen Brown, which appeared critical of James’ abilities.
