The Bad Boys weren’t as brave as they seemed in the movies
During an appearance on the “Tonight Show,” Will Smith shared a spine-chilling reason for an early checkout from a London hotel. While playing “True Confessions” with co-star Martin Lawrence and host Jimmy Fallon, Smith recounted an eerie encounter that led to what he called an “emergency checkout.”
“This happened about 27 years ago,” Smith began, recalling his unsettling experience. “The ghost urinated in my friend’s toilet and deleted all his phone messages.” This incident occurred at The Lanesborough, a prestigious five-star hotel near London’s Hyde Park, known for hosting celebrities like Cher, Mariah Carey, Sylvester Stallone, and former President George H.W. Bush.
Smith continued, “We didn’t hear it talk, so we assumed it was British, but it was scary enough for us to check out of the hotel.” His story left the audience and his co-stars intrigued. When Fallon asked, “Do you believe in ghosts?” Smith replied, “I believe there are things that you don’t understand, Jimmy,” adding an air of mystery to the conversation.
In other news, “Bad Boys: Ride or Die” had a strong debut, earning $21.6 million on its opening day, according to Variety. As the fourth installment in the “Bad Boys” series, the film is expected to dominate the global box office, with weekend projections close to $75 million.
