Marotta and Ausilio have identified Cuadrado’s replacement in the 1999-born Canadian from Bruges and want to close the deal as soon as possible.
Inter’s CEO Beppe Marotta has confirmed the search for Cuadrado’s replacement, expressing confidence in finding opportunities in the market. The top priority is Tajon Buchanan, a 1999-born Canadian from Bruges. The negotiations are expected to be concluded in January for a reported fee between โฌ10 and โฌ12 million. The deal, originally was planned for June, but is now expected to go through in January due to Cuadrado’s injury.
Inter has been in talks with both Buchanan and Bruges for a long time, aiming to finalize the transfer quickly and provide coach Inzaghi with a valuable right-wing option in the title race. Inzaghi hopes to have Buchanan available for the early 2024. Despite other player renewals, this is likely to be Inter’s sole winter transfer, putting confidence in Arnautovic and Sanchez for the attack.
Looking ahead to June, Marotta eyes free transfers for Djalo, Zielinski, and Taremi. Buchanan, currently has been excluded for 2 games in a row from the Bruges’ squad, signals his readiness for a big move, emphasizing Inter’s strategic planning in the transfer market.
