Widow of man killed on saturday shares what the former President said to her during a phone call conversation

The widow of Corey Comperatore, who was fatally shot during an attempted assassination of Donald Trump in Pennsylvania on Saturday, shared on her private Facebook page that she has spoken with the former president, according to the New York Post.

Helen, Corey’s widow, posted, “President Trump called me to share his condolences.” She mentioned that Trump was very kind and assured her he would continue to call in the days and weeks ahead.

Helen added, “I told him the same thing I told everyone else. He left this world a hero and God welcomed him in. He did not die in vain that day.”

On Monday, Helen revealed her husbandโ€™s last words to the New York Post and mentioned that she had refused a call from President Joe Biden, as previously reported by CNN. At that time, she had not yet heard from former President Trump.

Earlier on Tuesday, CNN reported that two sources familiar with the matter confirmed that Trump had indeed spoken to the family.
