Wyatt Russell, the son of Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn, was born on July 10, 1986. Following in his parents’ footsteps, he built a successful acting career, gaining widespread recognition for his comedic roles in 22 Jump Street (2014) and Table 19 (2017).
However, it was his portrayal in Disney’s The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021) that firmly established him as a TV star. Looking ahead, Wyatt is set to appear alongside his father in Apple TV’s upcoming live-action MonsterVerse series.

The couple welcomed their first child, Buddy Prine Russell, in March 2021. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Wyatt shared his deep appreciation for fatherhood, describing it as an “incredible” and transformative experience.
“It’s everything you didn’t know it was going to be,” he explained. “Everything you hope it’s going to be is just a jumble in your mind before it happens. Then once it does, whatever came before almost feels like it never existed.”
He went on to discuss how becoming a father shifts one’s perspective. “Biologically, I think it rewires your brain. Half your life before this moment feels erased. Now, it’s all about him, your family, and finding balance—managing time, navigating new challenges, and experiencing incredible moments.”
Kurt Russell as a Grandfather
During a joint appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers in January 2024, Wyatt opened up about seeing his father, Kurt, embrace his role as a grandfather—not only to Buddy but also to his siblings’ children.
“He’s awesome because he handles the tough lessons that sometimes I don’t want to deal with,” Wyatt shared. “But what’s great is, he never hides who he is when he’s with my son.
There was a moment when I was living in Vancouver filming Monarch, and Buddy was testing his boundaries by stepping onto the street. My dad immediately went, ‘No, no, no!’—teaching him in the way only he can.”
In February 2024, Wyatt and Meredith expanded their family once again with the birth of their second son, Boone Joseph Russell. Born a week before his due date, Boone weighed 8 pounds, 3 ounces.
