Who is Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s 23-year-old daughter? Meet WWE’s new star

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is not only a Hollywood megastar but also a dedicated father to his three daughters: Simone Johnson, 23, whom he shares with his ex-wife Dany Garcia, and Jasmine, 9, and Tiana, 6, whom he raises with his wife, Lauren Hashian.

Simone Johnson: The First Fourth-Generation WWE Superstar

Born on August 14, 2001, in Davie, Florida, Simone Johnson grew up in the Sunshine State, where she completed high school in May 2019. Despite his demanding career, Johnson has always prioritized family, often balancing his hectic schedule to spend quality time with his children.

One such moment occurred in February 2019, when Johnson took a quick round-trip flight to Miami to celebrate Valentineโ€™s Day with his “#1 Valentine”, Simone. Just a month prior, they attended the Sundance Film Festival premiere of Fighting with My Family, although they opted for separate red carpet appearances.

Later that year, Johnson proudly sent Simone off to New York University (NYU), expressing his excitement for her new chapter. During an appearance on Live with Kelly and Ryan, he described their relationship as “awesome”, emphasizing how much she had earned the opportunity.

When asked about Simone dating in college, Johnson humorously remarked that he wasnโ€™t concerned.

“I like to think, and itโ€™s what girls do, they measure the men they meet in their life by their father,” he explained. “I like to think whoever she brings home is going to be a good quality person. And if they’re not โ€ฆ bang!”

Carrying on the Family Legacy in WWE

In February 2020, Simone made headlines when she signed with WWE, making history as the first fourth-generation Superstar in the company. Following in the footsteps of her father, grandfather (Rocky Johnson), and great-grandfather (“High Chief” Peter Maivia), she began training at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando at just 18 years old, making her the youngest signee in WWE history.

Two years later, in October 2022, Simone made her WWE TV debut under the name Ava Raine. Leading up to her reveal, her identity was teased with mysterious glimpses of a masked figure throughout WWE programming. When she finally unmasked, she was introduced as the fourth member of Joe Gacyโ€™s faction, Schism.

Expressing her gratitude for the opportunity, Simone shared in a WWE statement:

“It means the world to me. Knowing that my family has such a deep personal connection to wrestling is really special, and I feel grateful not only to wrestle but to carry on that legacy.”

The Rock’s Pride in His Daughterโ€™s Journey

Johnson couldnโ€™t have been more thrilled about Simoneโ€™s milestone debut. During a virtual appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, he spoke about his pride in her career path.

“First of all, what an honor that my daughter wants to follow in my footsteps. But more importantly, she doesnโ€™t just want to followโ€”she wants to create her own path, which is so important,” he said.

As Ava Raine continues to make a name for herself in WWE, itโ€™s clear that sheโ€™s not just continuing a family tradition but also forging her own legacy, something her father wholeheartedly supports.

With three daughters to inspire and support, Dwayne Johnson embraces fatherhood with the same passion and dedication he brings to Hollywood and wrestling, proving that being a “girl dad” is his most cherished role of all.
