Who are Kevin Costner’s 7 children. The western actor shares photos of his kids on instagram

Kevin Costner may be a Hollywood legend, but his most cherished role continues to be that of a father.

The Yellowstone star is dad to seven children, and while he often brings his kids to public events like film premieres and festivals, it’s not often he manages to gather nearly all of them in one place โ€” let alone in a single photo.

But that changed last Thanksgiving, when Costner shared a rare and heartwarming family photo featuring six of his seven children. Annie, 40, Lily, 38, Joe, 36, Cayden, 17, Hayes, 15, and Grace, 14, all reunited with their dad for a beachside celebration.

The picture, taken with the ocean in the background, captured the family smiling and relaxed during the holiday.

Notably absent was his 27-year-old son Liam, whom Costner shares with Bridget Rooney. Liam has long preferred to stay out of the public eye, and was not pictured in the family gathering.

A Bonding Year with Son Hayes

Last year was particularly big for Costner, with the release of Horizon: An American Saga chapters one and two โ€” an ambitious Western project he directed, produced, and starred in. One of the highlights? Sharing the screen with his son Hayes.

โ€œHeโ€™s very good,โ€ Costner said proudly in an interview. โ€œBut I kind of did it on purpose, so he could be hanging out with me.โ€

Hayes plays the namesake character of his fatherโ€™s role in the film โ€” and according to Costner, the part had been in the script long before Hayes was even born. โ€œHeโ€™s 13 years old and the screenplayโ€™s been around longer than that,โ€ the actor noted.

Reflecting on the experience, Hayes said:
โ€œI just thought it was really cool, it was an amazing experience. I was just really proud of my dad, he’s been working for so long, and I just could only think about him at that moment.โ€

An Emotional Festival Moment

Kevin also made headlines last year when he brought five of his children to the Venice International Film Festival. The appearance proved to be an emotional one, as the actor received an 11-minute standing ovation for Horizon โ€” a moment he shared with his family in the crowd.

โ€œI got emotional and my children were there,โ€ Costner told Dax Shepard. โ€œI had five of my children, two of my boys were in tuxes and my three little girls were there all dressed up and they were watching too. And they got a little startled by it โ€” my son had not ever seen me be that emotional.โ€

Between red carpets, film projects, and beachside holidays, itโ€™s clear Kevin Costner continues to prioritize meaningful moments with his family โ€” and fans are loving these rare glimpses into his life as a proud father of seven.
