Fox News’ Laura Ingraham issued an on-air apology on Friday after the network mistakenly aired an incorrect graphic. The graphic was intended to feature Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis alongside Nathan Wade, a prosecutor who recently resigned from the Georgia election interference case involving former President Donald Trump.
During the broadcast, Ingraham appeared on screen next to a graphic that incorrectly displayed a picture of attorney Terrence Bradley, Wadeโs former law partner and divorce attorney, opposite Willis. The graphic, meant to show Willis and Wade, also included Judge Scott McAfeeโs image in the center.
Wade, who had a romantic relationship with Willis, resigned following McAfee’s ruling that he must remove himself from the case or Willis would have to step aside.
On-Air Apology and Previous Mistakes
Ingraham addressed the error, saying, “Now a note about a graphic we showed at the top of the show. It was supposed to be of Fani Willis and Nathan Wade, but accidentally we broadcast Terrence Bradley. That was obviously not intentional. We made a mistake, and we are sorry for that.”
The incident sparked reactions on social media, with some users speculating that the mix-up occurred because both Wade and Bradley are Black.
This is not the first time Fox News has encountered issues with on-air graphics. In 2018, the network mistakenly used a photo of singer Patti LaBelle during a tribute to Aretha Franklin and incorrectly labeled Iraq as Egypt on a Middle East map.
