Swift’s songs return to Tik Tok just a week before the release of her album The Tortured Poets Department
Taylor Swift’s music has made a comeback on TikTok just ahead of the anticipated release of her 11th album, “The Tortured Poets Department.” This revival comes amidst an ongoing dispute between her record label, Universal Music Group (UMG), and TikTok.
In February, Swift’s songs were removed from TikTok after UMG claimed that the platform was not adequately compensating artists and raised concerns about safety and AI music usage. TikTok refuted UMG’s assertions, accusing the label of prioritizing greed over the interests of artists and songwriters.
Following this disagreement, UMG took further action by removing its publishing catalog, affecting songs written by UMPG’s writers regardless of the artists’ record labels.
With Swift’s music back on TikTok, speculation arises about whether her new album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” will be available on the platform upon its release. But what is more interesting is that the US Government and the Tik Tok platform are in direct battle.
Going back to this social media platform, Swift will make many, many fans very happy as they are already prepared for her latest content. Swifties will be with her no matter what, even if it means going against your own country.
