It’s the engagement that broke the internet and now Netflix wants in.
Just days after Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce shared their dreamy rose garden proposal, the streaming giant is reportedly making moves to turn their real-life love story into a screen-ready sensation.
According to The Sun, Netflix has reached out to top unscripted production companies with one very big idea: a Taylor and Travis documentary. And yes, they want the wedding.
“A huge moment” — and Netflix wants to own it
“The wedding will be a huge moment, and Netflix wants to be at the forefront of that,” a source told The Sun.

“They’ve told production companies there’s a substantial budget in place,” the insider added. “They’re planning a bid for exclusive access to the ceremony.”
The idea? To follow the newly engaged couple from post-proposal bliss through to the big day, complete with behind-the-scenes moments, family celebrations, and possibly even a first dance… Swift-style.
Taylor’s Netflix history — and Travis’s screen debut
This wouldn’t be Taylor’s first time in front of Netflix’s lens.
Back in 2020, she released the intimate Miss Americana documentary on Netflix, which pulled back the curtain on her personal life, past tours, and the creation of her Lover album. She also collaborated with the platform on her Reputation Stadium Tour concert film in 2018. Outside of Netflix, her Eras Tour concert film became a global smash in theaters, grossing more than $261 million worldwide.
Kelce, for his part, is already dipping into Hollywood. The Kansas City Chiefs star recently landed a small role in Happy Gilmore 2 and has reportedly established a home base in Los Angeles during the off-season, sparking rumors of more acting and TV ventures.
According to Page Six, a Curb Your Enthusiasm-style series is reportedly being pitched for him.
Could Taylor and Travis become Netflix’s next power couple?
Producers see clear parallels to Netflix’s multi-project deal with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and hope Taylor and Travis could become the platform’s next power couple.
But there’s one big unknown: Will Taylor and Travis say yes?
Despite their engagement announcement racking up millions of reposts, the couple has stayed mostly quiet about what comes next. According to People, a source close to them says they’re “just enjoying being engaged” and are “not in the wedding planning phase yet.”
Still, with Taylor’s new album The Life of a Showgirl set to drop October 3 and her already legendary knack for storytelling, fans are wondering: Is she ready to turn her real-life romance into her next big narrative?
For now, Swifties are watching and so is Hollywood.
And if Netflix gets their wish? Taylor and Travis’s wedding might just become the most streamed “I do” in history.
