The NFL Super Bowl winner and the music star have been dating publicly since September 2023
Insiders reveal that Taylor Swift is “terrified” that the Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce will become too successful for their relationship. The star fears that if Kelce continues his upward trend in football and the media, it could lead to their breakup.
Kelce and Swift have been publicly dating since September 2023. Rumors began when Swift appeared at the Chiefs’ dominant win over the Chicago Bears at Arrowhead Stadium. Since then, they have been inseparable. Swift has made significant efforts to support Kelce, including flying back from Japan within 24 hours to watch him play at Super Bowl LVIII. Kelce has also traveled globally to see Swift perform on her record-breaking Eras Tour in Europe.
Swift’s Fears Amid Kelce’s Growing Success
However, Kelce’s rising stardom is causing concern for Swift. Alongside his football career and popular podcast, he is now pursuing media opportunities to become a film actor and producer, which officially took off in 2024. Swift worries that these new ventures will leave him with little time for her.
“Taylor’s incredibly proud that Travis is having so much success,” an insider told Heat World. “But it’s also bittersweet watching his career blow up. Part of her is terrified that he’ll become so successful it’ll somehow break them apart. He’s in talks for mega-deals, and all the attention and offers he’s getting are starting to take over his life.”
Recently, Kelce was asked by Ted Lasso star Jason Sudeikis when he intends to marry Swift. He dodged the question with a smile and did not provide an answer.
Kelce Quashes Happy Gilmore Sequel Rumors
In other news, Kelce addressed rumors about starring in a sequel to the 1990s classic Happy Gilmore. The movie, featuring Adam Sandler, is confirmed to have a sequel as part of Hollywood’s trend of rebooting older films. There have been strong links suggesting Kelce might take a role in the upcoming project.
“I didn’t even know there was a job opening for Happy Gilmore 2,” Kelce said on his New Heights podcast. “If there is, I’ll be a f**king extra. Any way I can get on a Happy Gilmore film or Adam Sandler film or set, count me in. I’ve been a huge fan of the Sand-man, but this is exactly what it says, a conspiracy theory.”
