Suzanne Somers, the beloved actress known for her roles in ‘Three’s Company’ and ‘Step by Step’, shared a deep and enduring bond with her only son, Bruce Somers Jr.
Born in November 1965 when Suzanne was just 19, Bruce became the center of her world, especially after her early divorce from his father, Bruce Somers Sr. Their close-knit relationship was a constant throughout Suzanne’s life.
Bruce pursued a career behind the scenes in media and advertising. He studied film at UCLA and later founded Sincbox Media, where he serves as the Chief Storyteller, working with major clients like Procter & Gamble, Visa, and Microsoft.
In 1991, he married Caroline Somers, a chef and author, and together they have two daughters, Camelia and Violet. Camelia has followed in her grandmother’s footsteps, appearing on The Bold and the Beautiful.
Suzanne often expressed immense pride in Bruce. In a 2019 birthday tribute, she called him “the greatest person on the entire planet” and celebrated the joy of being his mother. Bruce, in turn, frequently honored his mother on social media, referring to her as a “warrior” and praising her unwavering support throughout his life.
When Suzanne passed away on October 15, 2023, just one day before her 77th birthday, Bruce was by her side. In a heartfelt Instagram post, he wrote:
“Growing up, it was us against the world. And then she took the world by storm. It’s always too soon, no matter how prepared we may be. But she will live through me as she taught me to be kind, to be present, …”
