Spalletti makes the list for N. Macedonia and Ukraine: Immobile out! 2 new names included.

Spalletti has called up 29 players: noteworthy is the return of Calabria in the national team colors and the first call-up for Cambiaso and Colpani.

Luciano Spalletti has announced the list of players called up for Italy’s Euro 2024 qualification matches against Macedonia and Ukraine.

Regarding new additions, two notable inclusions are Andrea Colpani from Monza and Andrea Cambiaso from Juventus, making their debut in the senior national team after participating in training camps in recent months.

It’s worth mentioning the significant absence of Ciro Immobile and the return to the national team of Davide Calabria, who has been absent since June 2022, along with Buongiorno, Toloi, and Jorginho, making a comeback to the squad five months after the Nations League Finals.”

“The National Team will host North Macedonia on Friday, November 17, at the Olimpico, and then face the decisive match against Ukraine in Leverkusen on November 20.

At stake is the second position in Group C, which grants direct access to the European Championship in Germany in 2024. The Azzurri hold their destiny in their hands: by winning against North Macedonia, they could settle for a draw with Ukraine to secure the second spot based on the higher number of points in direct encounters. However, a draw or a defeat against North Macedonia would force Italy to win the final match against Ukraine.
