Sommer almost 35, Marotta is always prepared. Inter have found their goalkeeper of the future

According to Calcio Mercato, Inter is laying the groundwork for a potential acquisition of Atletico Paranaense goalkeeper in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Inter are looking at Brazilian goalkeeper Bento as a potential replacement for Yann Sommer who will turn 35 in December. The swiss position is secured but eventually he will have to be replaced with somebody younger, and that somebody might have been found.

CalcioMercato suggests that the Brazilian shot-stopper could be secured for an estimated fee of €15 million. Inter is proactively planning the goalkeeper’s future, especially after the significant changes during the previous summer transfer window.

Bento was a potential choice even this summer, however, the club took a different approach, opting for the experience of Yann Sommer from Bayern Munich and securing Emil Audero on loan from Sampdoria as a backup.

Despite the recent acquisitions, Inter remains open to evaluating its goalkeeping strategy, with a keen eye on the upcoming summer. CalcioMercato reveals that Bento tops Inter’s list for the next goalkeeping signing. The 24-year-old goalkeeper has reportedly impressed Inter’s directors with his performances in Brazil, and there have been several contacts with his representatives.

Bento is said to be enthusiastic about joining Inter, believing in the club’s project. The Italian outlet suggests that Inter is aware of the potential offer that could convince Paranaense to part with the talented goalkeeper—a figure around €15 million. As the summer transfer window approaches, Inter seems well-positioned to pursue Bento, although, as with any transfer, the final decision is yet to be made by the Nerazzurri.
