Skriniar: “It’s always nice to see Milan lose. Inter’s goodbye? This is what happened”

The former Inter player, now at PSG, said ahead of Milan PSG: “It’s not the time to talk about what happened but…”

It’s time for Milan vs. PSG, and it feels like a derby. It’s a derby between Milan fans and former Milan player (Donnarumma), as well as former Inter (Skriniar, Hakimi) players and Milanisti.

In the press conference ahead of the game Milan Skriniar was asked about what happened between him and Inter that made him make the decision he took:

Marotta’s comments about my departure from Inter? Today, I’m here to talk about tomorrow’s game against AC Milan; it’s not the time to create controversies,” said the Slovak defender, who moved to PSG in the summer as a free agent after 6 years at Inter. “BUT…” added the Slovak “If Marotta saw it that way, it’s fine, but what happened was something else, and people at the club know too.”

Regarding Skriniar’s loyalty to the Nerazzurri, there’s little to discuss: “I often hear from my former teammates. No one has asked me to beat Milan tomorrow, but as you know, it’s always nice to see Milan lose.

As for the match, Skriniar stated, “We know that Milan needs to collect points, but we also absolutely want to win. I don’t know who will feel more pressure, but we want to play our style of football. We expect a tough game, different from the first leg.”

“Milan is facing some difficulties, but when you’re in such a period, you can bring out something extra because they have great quality and great coaches.” Finally, he added, “I’m well aware that it will be a challenging match, I played here for 6 years, so I know how to approach this stadium as an opponent. We need to stay focused.”
