Skriniar: โ€œItโ€™s always nice to see Milan lose. Interโ€™s goodbye? This is what happenedโ€

The former Inter player, now at PSG, said ahead of Milan PSG: โ€œItโ€™s not the time to talk about what happened butโ€ฆโ€

Itโ€™s time for Milan vs. PSG, and it feels like a derby. Itโ€™s a derby between Milan fans and former Milan player (Donnarumma), as well as former Inter (Skriniar, Hakimi) players and Milanisti.

In the press conference ahead of the game Milan Skriniar was asked about what happened between him and Inter that made him make the decision he took:

โ€œMarottaโ€™s comments about my departure from Inter? Today, Iโ€™m here to talk about tomorrowโ€™s game against AC Milan; itโ€™s not the time to create controversies,โ€ said the Slovak defender, who moved to PSG in the summer as a free agent after 6 years at Inter. โ€œBUTโ€ฆโ€ added the Slovak โ€œIf Marotta saw it that way, itโ€™s fine, but what happened was something else, and people at the club know too.โ€

Regarding Skriniarโ€™s loyalty to the Nerazzurri, thereโ€™s little to discuss: โ€œI often hear from my former teammates. No one has asked me to beat Milan tomorrow, but as you know, itโ€™s always nice to see Milan lose.โ€œ

As for the match, Skriniar stated, โ€œWe know that Milan needs to collect points, but we also absolutely want to win. I donโ€™t know who will feel more pressure, but we want to play our style of football. We expect a tough game, different from the first leg.โ€

โ€œMilan is facing some difficulties, but when youโ€™re in such a period, you can bring out something extra because they have great quality and great coaches.โ€ Finally, he added, โ€œIโ€™m well aware that it will be a challenging match, I played here for 6 years, so I know how to approach this stadium as an opponent. We need to stay focused.โ€
