The Napoli President: “Osimhen? We knew he would leave: Real, PSG, or the Premier League in his future.”
The Napoli president and movie director Aurelio De Laurentiis didn’t hold back in front of the cameras after the Serie A League Assembly, when updating on Napoli’s coaching position and Osimhen’s future: “Mourinho has nothing to do with Napoli – his words when asked about the club’s coaching situation. He is a great coach, very likable guy, fiery, but I believe his destiny will be outside Italy, certainly not in Naples with Napoli.”
The pres was equally passionate about Zielinski’s future amid his continuous links to Inter: “Certain love stories end on their own. If he wants to stay, we are here to embrace him, but if he wants to leave because his agent smells the scent, or stench, of money… then he can go. Apparently, he (the agent) must have imagined taking a nice biscuit to dip in a nice coffee and convinced the boy, his entourage, and his family to make profit for himself.
“I can only tell you that Mr. Zielinski receives a much higher salary from me than what I read Inter would give him. I told Marotta that he is not behaving well… I told him with a smile though because he says to me ‘it’s not true, it’s not true, it’s not true,’ and it becomes a kind of comedy.”
He was straightforward about Victor Osimhen‘s farewell statement: “We already knew since last summer. The negotiation (for the renewal) wouldn’t have taken so long otherwise. We already knew he would go to Real Madrid, or Paris Saint Germain, or the Premier League.”
