She was the the Wonder Woman. Today she turns 73. Do you remember this legendary actress?

Lynda Carter, the legendary Wonder Woman star, thrilled fans on Monday by sharing a stunning throwback photo on Instagram. She turns 73 today.

At 72, the actress and singer looked breathtaking in her twenties, wearing a low-cut silver swimsuit with superhero confidence. This vintage picture serves as the cover art for her new song, “Pink Slip Lollipop.”

The announcement comes after Carter released an emotional tribute song on Valentine’s Day titled “Letters From Earth,” dedicated to her late husband, Robert Altman. Altman, a prominent video game executive, passed away in 2021 from a rare form of leukemia. The couple had two children together.

In an interview with People, Carter spoke about the deep connection she felt writing the song. “The soul of the song is about how you miss a person so much that it’s almost impossible to imagine you won’t physically see them again in this life,” she shared.

LIFETIME AS AN ARTIST

Many might be surprised to learn that Carter has been a singer long before her Wonder Woman fame in 1976. “I’ve been singing for over 50 years,” she revealed. “I started singing in clubs at 14 and was writing music before I became an actor.”

Since Altman’s passing, Carter has been actively involved with City of Hope, supporting research for complex blood cancers like the one her husband faced. Altman was diagnosed with myelofibrosis, a bone marrow disorder that progressed to secondary myeloid leukemia.

Lynda Carter’s enduring beauty and talent continue to shine. At 72, she remains a vibrant presence in both entertainment and advocacy, proving that age is no barrier to passion and creativity.
