Marion Ross celebrated her 95th birthday with friends at Marmalade Café in Calabasas, California. The “Happy Days” star looked cheerful as she dined al fresco, wearing a black turtleneck, checkered pants, and sneakers, supported by a walker and accompanied by friends.
Ross’s career began 70 years ago in 1953 with her film debut in “Forever Female” and her television debut in “Life with Father.” She appeared in numerous movies with Hollywood legends like James Stewart, Audrey Hepburn, and Frank Sinatra. Her most famous role was Marion Cunningham in “Happy Days,” where she starred alongside Henry Winkler and Ron Howard from 1974 to 1984.
After “Happy Days,” Ross became a regular on “The Love Boat” and starred in “Brooklyn Bridge.” She had recurring roles on “The Drew Carey Show,” “That ’70s Show,” and “Gilmore Girls,” and voiced SpongeBob SquarePants’s grandmother.
Living in Woodland Hills, Ross told Fox News in 2020 that she was staying positive during the pandemic, enjoying spring on her property, and receiving daily help from her devoted family. Her son brings her a green drink every day, and both her son and daughter ensure she has everything she needs. Despite physical distance, Ross finds this time great for bonding with her family and friends.
Ross was married twice, first to Freeman Meskimen from 1951 to 1969 and then to Paul Michael from 1988 until his death in 2011. Her enduring career and positive outlook continue to inspire fans and friends.
