Shaquille O’Neal finally breaks the silence on Bronny James. Listen to his honest take

A voice much needed to defend all the criticism against Bronny James.

Bronny James, LeBron James’ son has received a lot of criticism lately for being selected as the 55th draft pick in this years NBA Draft. Many said that he is there only because of he is LeBron James’ son and in any other circumstances he wouldn’t even be selected.

Others have criticized his height and his inability to produce offensively, averaging only 4.8 points in College Basketball.

But in his defence, the young man hasn’t played a single game and hasn’t had the chance to prove the critics wrong. Now according to Shaq, people need to be a bit of patient and see what Bronny is truly capable of when he starts to play basketball.

Shaq defends Bronny from all the criticism

Shaquille O’Neal is one of those authoritative voices sending a warning to all those criticizing Bronny James. He wanted to issue a warning and ask that the kid be given a chance to show his skills. When the time comes and the season starts, anyone can start criticizing him based on his performances. But in the meantime, Shaq wants all the attacks to stop. During a recent episode of The Big Podcast, this is what Shaq said:

“I’d like the scrutiny to be taken off Bronny James. My nephew. He’s a kid. A great kid. All he wants to do is play. It’s unfortunate for kids who have to live up to what we’ve done. I hope he gets a chance to play well. I hope he gets a chance to make a name for himself. I’m sitting here watching all this [criticism].”
