Scaroni: “We are building the most beautiful stadium in the world. Ibra’s return? Time will tell”

Paolo Scaroni, Milan’s President, spoke in an interview with MilanNews, touching on various topics, including the new stadium, the situation on Stefano Pioli’s bench, and the possibility of Ibrahimovic’s return.

THE STADIUM IN SAN DONATO – “We want to give our fans the most beautiful stadium in the world, capable of leading us towards a successful and sustainable future. It will be in the Municipality of San Donato Milanese, and now we await further developments. I reiterate: we want to build the most beautiful stadium in the world, and in our plans, the first match will be played at the beginning of the 2028-2029 season.”

PIOLI – “First and foremost, we must always support Milan: this means continuing to support not only the club, but the coach, his entire staff and the team, especially in this moment when I read exaggerated criticisms. Moreover, after 10 match weeks, with a schedule that everyone deemed very hard, we have earned 22 points and we stand highin the standings.

“I, on the other hand, am used to evaluating the work of professionals and managers based on the results at the end of the season. And I would like to remind everyone that the performances in recent years, in which Stefano Pioli has played a significant role, have given great satisfaction to all our fans.”

IBRAHIMOVIC – “At the moment, there are no significant updates. We have always shown him great esteem and affection. Personally, it is always a pleasure to meet and talk with him. As they say in English, ‘time will tell’.”
