Retegui, Inter ahead of the competition. First contacts with Tigre

Inter Milan has set their sights on Mateo Retegui, the Italian-Argentine striker who made an impressive debut with the Azzurri, scoring a goal against England.

The club has reportedly opened talks with Tigre, thanks to the good relations between the clubs established with the Facundo Colidio deal in the past.

Tigre is set to redeem Retegui’s price tag from Boca Juniors for a hefty 2.5 million euro, plus the club will keep 50% from a future resale.

The call from the foremer Inter’s head coach, Roberto Mancini, is sure to increase the boy’s market value.

Inter’s Director, Dario Baccin, was present in the stands at the Maradona Stadium for the match between Italy and England, indicating that the club is keenly interested in securing Retegui’s services.

From an Inter’s perspective, Retegui can be a perfect long-term addition, who can replace Lautaro Martinez if the club decides to cash in on the player.

For now, the Milanese club seems very well-positioned in the race for Retegui by leading the race.
