Reijnders doesn’t fear no one: “Serie A is not easy, but we want to win the ‘Scudetto’ this year.”

The Dutch midfielder said, “I like the role that Pioli has given me. I miss scoring goals.”

Tijani Reijnders has had an immediate impact at Milan. Despite the heavy defeat in the derby, the Dutch midfielder has been showcasing his qualities since the preseason: “I immediately felt at home here; I’m very happy to be at Milan. Every day, I learn something new.”

Reijnders, who was signed in the summer from AZ Alkmaar after a long courtship, may have changed leagues but not his style of play: “Serie A is not easy – he commented for SportMediaset – it’s definitely different from the Dutch league, so in every match, I’m learning something new.”

Nevertheless, in matches against Cagliari and Roma, Reijnders has already registered two assists and came close to scoring on several occasions: “I always try to score in every game, I try helping the team by trying to score myself too, but I haven’t succeeded yet here in Italy.”

The Dutchman arrived at a Milan that is changing its identity compared to the past: “I like the role that Pioli has given me, as an attacking midfielder. I love to attack, and the role I’m playing is the one I like the most.”

Regarding the season’s ambitions, Reijnders hasn’t set any limits: “We believe we can win the Scudetto; we have an excellent team, and even those who don’t start in the first eleven do a great job. There is a lot of quality, and I’m sure we can achieve great things.”
