Rare photo of Julia Roberts and her grown children surface on social media

Julia Roberts was all smiles in a rare family photo shared by husband Danny Moder on Mother’s Day, giving fans a rare glimpse at the private life of the Oscar-winning actress.

The touching image features Roberts, 57, with her three children — twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, both 20, and youngest son Henry, 17.

“Mothers make the coolest stuff. Love these guys,” wrote Moder, 56, in the Instagram caption accompanying the outdoor photo.

The picture, taken under clear blue skies and surrounded by trees, shows the family seated together on a picnic bench. Roberts sits in the center with Hazel on her lap, flanked by her sons on either side. It’s a warm and candid snapshot of a close-knit family.

While Roberts keeps her children largely out of the public eye, she’s known to mark special family moments. In interviews, she has often opened up about the deep joy and purpose she finds in motherhood.

In a 2022 CBS interview, Roberts reflected on life at home when she’s not working:

“When I’m not working, [being a homemaker] is my full-time job. It isn’t rainbows and kittens every day, but it does bring me a lot of joy.”

While fans know her best for her iconic film roles, Julia Roberts has made it clear that her most treasured accomplishments are off-screen.

“Being an actress was not my only dream come true,” she said in the same 2022 interview. “The life that I’ve built with my husband and the life that we’ve built with our children — that’s the best stuff.”

Roberts and Danny Moder tied the knot in 2002 after meeting on the set of The Mexican. Their two-decade-long relationship has remained one of Hollywood’s most enduring, built far away from the limelight. Prior to her marriage to Moder, Roberts was briefly married to country singer Lyle Lovett from 1993 to 1995.
