Donald Trump was back in vintage form this week, throwing a light-hearted jab at Taylor Swift during a celebration with the Philadelphia Eagles at the White House — and fans loved it.
Hosting the Eagles to honor their Super Bowl win over the Kansas City Chiefs, Trump couldn’t resist taking a sharp-witted shot at Swift, whose boyfriend, Travis Kelce, plays for the defeated Chiefs.
“I was there along with Taylor Swift,” Trump said with a smile, before adding with a laugh, “How did that work out?” — drawing cheers and laughter from the crowd.
The Eagles beat the Chiefs 40-22 in a game that stunned many NFL fans — and Trump clearly hadn’t forgotten the moment.

Predictably, Trump’s playful remark triggered a wave of outrage among his usual critics online, with some accusing him of being “obsessed” with the pop star.
“He’s jealous she draws bigger crowds,” one commenter fumed on social media, while another bizarrely claimed, “Taylor Swift makes better deals than Trump!”

This isn’t the first time Trump has poked fun at Swift. After attending the Super Bowl in February, he posted on Truth Social celebrating his massive cheers compared to the mixed reaction Swift received when shown on the stadium screens.
“The only one that had a tougher night than the Chiefs was Taylor Swift!” Trump wrote at the time.

The playful back-and-forth traces back to 2020, when Swift endorsed Joe Biden and Kamala Harris — an endorsement Trump lightly mocked but never seemed to take too seriously.
In a 2024 interview, he even called Swift “very beautiful” and “very talented,” while questioning whether her liberal image was genuine or an act.
