Leao and Davide Calabria underwent medical examinations after being forced to leave the field during Lecce-Milan on Saturday. The Portuguese player has been diagnosed with a first-degree injury to the biceps femoris of the right thigh. However, it should not be a severe injury.

Coach Pioli hopes for the Rossoneri is to have him available for the Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund scheduled for November 28. Leao is unlikely to answer the national team call-up and will miss Portugal’s upcoming matches.

Similarly, Calabria, who was recalled by Italy after 17 months for the matches against North Macedonia and Ukraine, has no deep injuries, and only an overload edema was found. The Milan captain could already be available for the league challenge against Fiorentina on November 25.
