The toxicology report from the medical examiner reveals the cause of death of Matthew Perry, famous for his role as Chandler in the popular series Friends.
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office has released the toxicology report, concluding that Matthew Perry died from “acute effects of ketamine.” The actor, famous for his role as Chandler in the popular series Friends, was found dead on October 28th in his jacuzzi at his home in the Los Angeles area. Emergency services were called for a man in cardiac arrest.
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office issued the autopsy report on Friday morning: “Factors contributing to Perry’s death include drowning, coronary artery disease, and the effects of buprenorphine (used to treat opioid withdrawal). The death was accidental.”
