Everything was already done in August, now it’s official, and the initial boom confirms: it’s the right choice for the Nerazzurri, whose goal is the Serie A title.
Simone Inzaghi has renewed his contract with Inter. The coach from Piacenza, who is on his third consecutive year with the Nerazzurri (a feat that hasn’t happened since the time of Roberto Mancini when a coach led Inter for such a long time), has signed an extension until 2025, thus adding one more year to his current cintract. Inzaghi’s contract was set to expire at the end of the season, but the topic of renewal was never rushed; both parties always intended to continue together.
The announcement comes during the break, after Inter’s amazing start in the league with nine points earned, eight goals scored, and none conceded in 3 matches. The upcoming derby awaits, and the Nerazzurri will go into it with a coach freshly renewed and firmly in place on the bench.
In two years with the club, Inzaghi has brought four trophies (twice the Supercoppa and the Coppa Italia) and led Inter to the Champions League final, lost to Manchester City in Istanbul. Now the big goal is to chase the Scudetto and the second star. Inzaghi is increasingly the leader of the Nerazzurri; the renewal is a reward for the work done up to this point.
