The Nerazzurri have officially communicated that they have fulfilled their commitments with UEFA. Sponsor revenues are on the rise.
Inter has released its semi-annual report, closed on December 31, 2023, announcing compliance with the commitments made to UEFA in previous years regarding the Settlement Agreement. “It should be noted that, based on the results for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2023, we expect to achieve the financial target set for this year according to the Settlement Agreement signed with UEFA in August 2022. Therefore, we do not expect any financial contribution to be withheld from the prize money due in the 2023/24 sports season,” the document reads.
The Nerazzurri club’s forecasts are also positive for the first half of 2024: “Based on the results since the beginning of the year and the most updated projection for the rest of the fiscal year, we expect to meet the financial target set by the Settlement Agreement for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024. It is also worth noting that the next sports season (2024/2025) will be the first year of the new three-year UEFA cycle (which includes a new format for the UCL), for which the total net distributable resources for participating clubs are expected to increase by approximately 30%.”
Inter – which saw sponsor and TV rights revenues reach 164 million euros at the close of the semester on December 31, 2023 (up 22.7% from 2022) – informs that the sponsorship revenues already contracted for the fiscal year 2024/25 amount to 72 million euros, which could increase thanks to “additional agreements being finalized.” For example, the deal with the new main sponsor Betsson is expected to guarantee a total of 150 million euros over the next five years. In 2023-24, sponsorship revenues were 76 million.
From the Champions League, the club expects a minimum of 65 million euros (which could increase in the event of advancing to the next round against Atletico Madrid), while TV rights revenues will range from a minimum of 78 million to 100 million euros in case of winning the league.
