Former Spanish and Barcelonaย midfielder Cesc Fabregas will take charge of Italian Serie B side Como, the club confirmed on Monday.
Cesc Fabregas is set to step into the managerial role at Como, taking over from Moreno Longo, who managed to secure only 16 victories out of 45 games during his tenure.
This move signifies the 36-year-old’s debut as a senior manager after concluding his illustrious playing career in July, having played for top clubs like Arsenal, Barcelona, Chelsea and Monaco.
Fabregas already has some experience in Italian football, having played 17 games in Serie B with Como last season. Subsequently, he transitioned into coaching, taking on the role of the club’s youth team coach.
Como currently holds the 6th position in the standings and is gearing up to face Feralpisalo at home on November 25.
The move is not permanent, as the Spanish takes on interim basis… but if the results follow than he will stay.
