As if Theo Hernandez and Mike Maignan’s absence wasn’t enough, now Pioli has to do for a month without another key player.
Bad news for Milan and Stefano Pioli, not only in view of the match against Juventus in which he will have to do without the disqualified Mike Maignan and Theo Hernandez . As if this wasn’t enought, Pioli has to deal with another big absence, that of Samuel Chukwueze, who returned from his international duties with the Nigerian national team, underwent medical examinations that revealed a hamstring injury in his left thigh.
The former Villarreal player is expected to be sidelined for approximately a month. He will be available again after the November break, with the aim of securing a call-up for the match against Fiorentina on November 25.
Pioli thus loses an important rotation option in the offensive trident for six matches (both in the league and the Champions League), with Pulisic and Leao now having to step up during a crucial part of the season.
The matches that Chukwueze will miss:
- Milan vs. Juventus (October 22)
- PSG vs. Milan (October 25)
- Napoli vs. Milan (October 29)
- Milan vs. Udinese (November 4)
- Milan vs. PSG (November 7)
- Lecce vs. Milan (November 11)
