NBA scorekeepers fabricated Jordan’s statistics, says Scottie Pippen in his latest book

Michael Jordan fans might not be happy with the way Scottie Pippen is portraying his former teammate

The enduring legacy of the greatest duo in NBA history, Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen, has been marred by years of strained relations, much to the heartbreak of their fans.

During the 1990s, the Chicago Bulls, led by Jordan and Pippen, won 6 championships together. While Michael Jordan often stole the spotlight, Scottie Pippen’s prowess would have made him a standout star on any other team. The combination of Jordan’s scoring genius, Pippen’s all-around excellence, propelled the Bulls to two remarkable three-peats.

However, since the release of “The Last Dance” docuseries on Netflix the tensions between the pair are evident, resulting in the division we witness today between these once inseparable teammates.

Pippen’s harsh accusations against Jordan make waves on social media

Scottie Pippen’s 2021 book, Unguarded, contains controversial excerpts that have sparked a viral discussion among Michael Jordan’s fans online.

In his memoir, Pippen claims that NBA scorekeepers inflated Jordan’s stats to help him secure individual accolades. Pippen writes: “Say I deflected the ball and tapped it over to [MJ]. I should get the credit with the steal, right? Nope. More often than not, the steal went into his column in the stat sheet and I could do nothing about it… One night a scorekeeper came into the locker room… to hand the stat sheets to Phil Jackson… I couldn’t believe the look the guy gave Michael: ‘See MJ, we take care of you.’
