Milan and Pioli want Thuram by all means: The player will get a top wage and a leading role.

Stefano Pioli has contacted Marcus Thuram, the club offers prestige and playing time. Without Nagelsmann as their sponsor, PSG is facing a ‘battle’.

To begin with, Milan’s transfer market at this stage is characterized by different ideas, negotiations, and inquiries, but one idea stands clear: in the attack, if possible, speed is key.

Pioli’s ideal attack trio for the next season should be composed of ChukwuezeThuramLeao. The ‘Rossoneri’ coach enjoys fast paced attacks.

They are all young, exceptional athletes, and one-on-one ‘killers’ who can be dangerous when given space. In transition, this trio would make Milan devastating in counter attacks.

The difference compared to the past would be significant. Brahim Diaz, Messias, and Giroud have notably different qualities.

Milan is convinced that they can make an exception to the financial rules of recent transfer windows when it comes to Thuram.

The club had previously maintained expenses on player wages, with salaries almost never exceeding €4 million. However, with Thuram, they are ready to make exceptions. If he were to join on a free transfer, he would earn around €5-5.5 million per season, similar to Leao’s new salary.

The end of June will most likely reveal whether Thuram will be a ‘Rossonero’.

Milan’s first card, is the salary: Milan can not offer the same money PSG can, but they will make a very significant offer.

The second card is Stefano Pioli. The Milan coach is on vacation, but in recent days, he called Thuram, as part of his new role. Pioli has always made phone calls to big targets but now he has more say in the matter.

The third card is prestige. Thuram is looking for a prestigious club, and in this regard, Milan is second to very few.

The fourth card is playing time. Milan would guarantee him ample playing space, equivalent to that of a starter.

The fifth card, the least important, is the French DNA, which is gaining more strength at Milan day by day.

All of this, of course, may not be enough, because of PSG. The french club is yet to officially announce Luis Enrique as their coach and is currently dealing with the Mbappé situation, along with ongoing incoming and outgoing transfer negotiations.

It’s a complex situation to manage. However, the transition from Nagelsmann – who was a strong candidate for the position until a few days ago – to Luis Enrique could change the scenario.

Nagelsmann was a fan of Thuram, but Luis Enrique… not so much. His style of play has been built around different types of players.

What will the player decide, we will have to wait for a bit longer, but everything is expected to be known by the end of June.
