Michelle Obama has checked out DC and is fed up with her husband Barack as she skips Trump’s inauguration

Former First Lady Michelle Obama has been at the center of recent speculation following her absence from Jimmy Carter’s funeral and reports of skipping Donald Trump’s inauguration.

Reports suggest that Michelle Obama has largely distanced herself from the political spotlight since leaving the White House in January 2017.

This perception was amplified by her recent absences from high-profile events, including Jimmy Carter’s funeral and Donald Trump’s inauguration.

A Washington insider told ‘The Express‘ that her continued absence from gatherings typically attended by former presidents and first ladies has fueled ongoing speculation. The source claimed, “Thereโ€™s been constant talk that Michelle is tired and FED UP of the political charade and the pressure to maintain appearances with Barack.”

Adding to the intrigue, the insider hinted, “What all this leads to remains to be seen.”

The Obamas living separately?

While the Obamasโ€™ primary residence remains in Washington, D.C.โ€™s elite Kalorama neighborhoodโ€”where they purchased an $8.1 million home in June 2017โ€”Michelle, now 61, reportedly spends much of her time at their Martha’s Vineyard property.

The Obamas own a luxurious $11.75 million estate on Martha’s Vineyard, where Michelle reportedly spends most of her time. According to a source for Page Six, โ€œSheโ€™s rarely in D.C. these days, mostly staying on the island,โ€ further fueling speculation about her distancing from political life.

Adding to the narrative, reports from last summer highlighted Michelleโ€™s solo appearances on Marthaโ€™s Vineyard, where she seemed genuinely happy and at ease without Barack by her side.

Public appearances of the couple together have been notably rare. Their last sighting was in Los Angeles this past December, where both of their daughters currently reside.

Barack breaks silence

Barack Obama, now 63, shared a touching moment on social media Friday to celebrate his wife Michelleโ€™s birthday. The post included a heartfelt photo of the couple holding hands over a dinner table, exuding intimacy and warmth.

In the caption, Barack expressed his love and admiration, writing, โ€œHappy birthday to the love of my life, Michelle Obama. You fill every room with warmth, wisdom, humor, and grace โ€“ and you look good doing it. Iโ€™m so lucky to be able to take on lifeโ€™s adventures with you. Love you!โ€

Michelle responded sweetly in the comments, writing, โ€œLove you, honeyโ€ with a heart and kissy face emoji. While the exact date of the photo remains unclear, the post showcased their enduring bond and affection for one another. Is it real or not, remais to be seen.
