Michael Jordan or LeBron James? ‘Unmatched’ Scottie Pippen reveals who is the GOAT

As the GOAT debate rages on, LeBron James continues rewriting history, while Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippenโ€™s legacy remains undeniable.

The duo led the Bulls to six NBA championships, achieving two three-peats and a historic 72-10 season in 1995-96.

Despite their dominance, Pippen admitted, “We were never great friends,” making it clear their bond was built purely on winning.

Pippen on the GOAT Debate

Scottie Pippen has never been one to hold back on the GOAT debate between Jordan and LeBron.

Pippen has expressed that greatness at this level isn’t about one player being “better” than another but rather about different styles of dominance.

“I never said LeBron was the greatestโ€”that was never said,” he stated on a podcast. When asked to choose between Jordan and LeBron, he dismissed the debate as “stupid“.

He also acknowledged Jordanโ€™s unmatched competitive fire, pointing out that his prime was concentrated within a dominant 12-to-14-year stretch, while LeBron has sustained excellence for over two decades. “It’s not the same drive, not the same fight, not the same hunger,” he explained.

Surprisingly, Pippen ranked Magic Johnson above both, citing his leadership and ability to elevate an entire team.

LeBronโ€™s Historic Season at 40

As the GOAT conversation continues, LeBron James keeps adding to his incredible legacy.

At 40 years old, he remains one of the NBAโ€™s most dominant forces, posting numbers that rival his prime years in Miami.

The Lakers currently hold a 38-21 record, with James playing a crucial role in their playoff push.

Since Donฤiฤ‡’s arrival, the Lakers have gone 10-2, improving significantly on both ends of the floor. Their defense, previously inconsistent, is now ranked No. 1 in the league.
