The PSG champion, in a press conference, revealed that he had already told Thuram in the past that he is a pure number 9.
Mbappé, met with journalists in a press conference and, where among other things, talked about Marcus Thuram, the Inter striker.
“I’ve known him for 10 years; we were together at Clairefontaine (the youth training center of the French national team, editor’s note). His new role as a number 9? I’ve been telling him for years that he would end up being a center forward. He doesn’t listen to me!” emphasized the PSG champion.
“At Mönchengladbach, when everything was about to start, I told him that he would end up in the center of the attack because he has all the qualities to be an excellent center forward. His start to the season at Inter proves it. I’m happy for him.”
“We talk a lot, almost every day. I have a lot of affection for him. His start to the season shows that Inter made the right choice, and there he now understands what his best position is,” Mbappe added about the Inter player.
When asked about who he prefers as a striker alongside him Giroud, Kolo Muani, or Thuram, he replied, “It’s not a question for me (laughs). All three of them are strong; all three score goals, playing for Milan, Inter, and PSG. We are fortunate to have these three players, who also have different profiles. Let the best play, and we will adapt,” he concluded.
