The Nerazzurri club has its sights on three players who could arrive for free next summer.
Zero-cost transfers. It’s Beppe Marotta‘s specialty, and Inter is a glaring example of it. The Nerazzurri executive, alongside Ausilio and Baccin, has built a strong team, thanks in part to several zero-cost transfers added to the squad at the disposal of coach Simone Inzaghi.
TIAGO DJALO
Now, the Nerazzurri club has its sights on three players who could arrive for free. The first of these is Tiago Djalo. As previously reported by ‘FcInter1908.it‘, the defender has never left the radar of the club’s executives. Now, Gazzetta dello Sport has confirmed the contacts that Inter has maintained with the player and his entourage.
“Inter feels ahead of Juventus and Milan, who have also explored the situation, but there’s the uncertainty of Barcelona, which has targeted the 2000-born player from Amadora for the next season.
Despite the investment for Pavard, Inter will not give up on Tiago, considering him an investment for the future in a department where Acerbi (born in 1988), Darmian (1989), and De Vrij (1992) are also present.”
PIOTR ZIELINSKI
Another potential zero-cost transfer in the crosshairs is Piotr Zielinski. ‘The Polish player is considered the perfect addition to the department if he doesn’t extend his contract with Napoli, which is set to expire on June 30.
The player is very attached to the Azzurri club, but despite months of negotiations, there aren’t any advancements. Apparently the player is closer to departure than to staying. Juventus has already informed his entourage of their interest, however, Inter doesn’t feel beaten or offside.’
From the reports in Italy, it is understood that moving to Milan is a prospect that intrigues the player. Moreover, Zielinski is aware of the esteem that Inzaghi holds for him. Currently, he earns โฌ3.5 million a year, and for Inter, having to pay ‘only’ the agent fees, guaranteeing him the same amount or even more, and then adding bonuses, wouldn’t be an insurmountable problem. But first, Zielinski must decide not to renew with Napoli.
MEHDI TAREMI
Defense, midfield, and… attack. It’s no secret that Mehdi Taremi represents another opportunity to seize. ‘The Iranian has no intention of renewing his contract with Porto, and in terms of goal-scoring (only 3 goals so far this season), there is an uncertainty about his future.
He was also close to joining Milan, but at the end of August, the deal with the club from via Aldo Rossi fell through due to agent fees. It’s easy to imagine that these fees will likely increase in case of a free transfer from July 1 onwards.
Certainly, in the coming weeks, the situation of Taremi will continue to be monitored. As mentioned, it’s more about an arrival on a free transfer next summer rather than in January. Unless Arnautovic gets injured again…'”
