Several Hollywood stars announced they would move to Europe if Donald Trump won the presidency, but most have remained silent since then. However, one actress has already been spotted checking out schools for her children outside the United States.
During the recent U.S. presidential election, much of Hollywood publicly supported Kamala Harris, making Donald Trumpโs victory a major shock for many stars.
Numerous celebrities had declared during the campaign that they would leave the United States if Trump won, but so far, Cher has stated sheโs staying because of her boyfriend, while most others have remained silent.
However, actress America Ferrera, known for her roles in the movie Barbie and the series Ugly Betty, has made plans to continue her life in the United Kingdom.
She plans to leave the U.S. with her husband, Ryan Piers Williams, their six-year-old son, Sebastian, and four-year-old daughter, Lucia, according to well-informed sources.
โAmerica says sheโs disgusted that Donald Trump is president again,โ a source close to the actress told Daily Mail. โSheโs devastated that Kamala lost. She thought the country she lives in was better than this.โ
However, this doesnโt mean America is leaving Hollywood entirely. She intends to remain active in her career and continue advocating for women and the Latino community.
“She wants her children to have the best opportunities possible, and itโs important to her to remain close to them, even across the ocean,” the source added. “Sheโs not abandoning the United States, but her life and focus are now centered on her children.”
America has reportedly already been seen visiting a private school in London. She has chosen an institution that is already attended by many children of celebrities.
