Romelu Lukaku has finally broken his silence on the racist abuse he suffered from a section of Juventus fans during the recent Coppa Italia game against Inter Milan. In an Instagram post, the Belgian striker said “history repeats itself” and that he had experienced similar incidents in 2019 and now in 2023.
Lukaku then expressed his hope that the league would take serious measures to address these incidents of racial discrimination, saying that everyone should be able to enjoy the beautiful game without fear of abuse. Finally, he thanked his supporters and ended with a strong message: “F*** racism.”
